Today we’re going to show you how to use Mold Putty to create a 3D Printed stamp.The best part about 3d printing a casting for stamps instead of hand carving them is you can make as many molds as you want from just one cast. When designing your stamp, you need to make sure the size is going to fit with your ink pad. After you make a few measurements, you can start designing your artwork. I like to use adobe illustrator to make the paths and important them into maya.

MakerWare vs Replicator G

I find myself switching between these two slicers lately, and it’s really dependent on what I’m printing. Replicator G was the first slicer I started with like many other early MakerBot operators. Since the release of the Replicator 2, MakerBot released its own slicer, MakerWare which features MakerBots own slicing algorithm dubbed MakerBot Slicer (previously MiracleGru).
